Egypt - South Sinai - Desert & Sea
Day 1: Arrival and flight to Sharm el Sheikh/Egypt and transfer to the camp/Nuweiba
The individual flights must be booked by yourself and at your own expense and are not included in the tour price of romeis-reisen.
Day 2: Arrive and relax at the camp by the sea near Nuweiba
We then spend the first few nights of our trip in the camp and have the opportunity to get to know the area, the sea and the climate.
Day 3: Relax in the camp by the sea/excursion to St. Catherine's Monastery and Moses Mountain:
This excursion is optional and will be organized on site if several participants are interested. The excursionists set off with a driver and jeep to visit St. Catherine's Monastery and experience the sunset on arrival at Mount Moses (2285 m).
Day 4: Start of the desert tour:
On the 1st day of our desert tour, we set off on a dromedary ride to Wadi Disco. Lunch there and an afternoon hike to the Mlehis waterhole.
Day 5: Desert tour:
Ride or hike to the foot of Nagb Hmedat and approx. 1.5 hours on foot over the pass. We will camp there at lunchtime and in the afternoon we will travel by dromedary to the Ein Hudra oasis, where we will spend the second night.
Day 6: Desert tour:
The next day we walk/ride through Wadi Hudra (“mushroomstone”) and camp in the Mdayle valley at lunchtime. We spend the night in Wadi Mdayle.
Day 7: Desert tour:
Today we cross the pass and ride/hike further into Wadi Rum and camp there at lunchtime. In the afternoon we ride/hike out of the Rum and spend the night at Ghlim.
Day 8: Desert tour:
We cross one of the few roads and have tea in the village near the Nawamis tombs, which we can also visit. We stay there for lunch and in the afternoon we climb Jabal Um Matamir.
Day 9: Desert tour:
Today we continue by dromedary/walk into the Al Karri valley; if there is enough water, the camels are also watered and we use this place for our lunch break. In the afternoon, our tour continues to Canyunayn. We also set up camp there for the night.
Day 10: Desert tour:
We are now very experienced in the desert and a short ride takes us to Jabal Burgaa. A region with enchantingly beautiful corners and time and space for discoveries.
Day 11: End of the desert tour/return to the camp by the sea
At the end of our desert tour, after a last breakfast in the desert, we return to our starting point, where we will arrive around midday. We leave the Bedouins and dromedaries and drive back to the camp we met at the beginning of our trip.
Day 12: Relaxation at the Red Sea camp
Now it's time to relive your experiences with relaxing hours by the sea and let your mind wander. Fancy snorkeling or diving? A wonderful underwater world is waiting to be discovered.
Day 13: Stay at the camp by the sea
Another day at leisure to enjoy the sea or walks on the beach. A visit to the nearby town of Nuweiba invites you to linger or eat fish.
Day 14: Departure and journey home
Group transfer to the airport in Sharm el Sheikh and from there departure and individual arrival in your home country and individual journey home.
