Status: September 2021
Romeis-Reisen, Christine Romeis, 90762 Fürth, Germany
Foreword:
We make every effort to ensure that our trips retain their personal character and that the terms and conditions are merely a legal necessity that should not take away from the enjoyment and experience of the trip.
Christine Romeis
1. conclusion of contract
After a written booking has been made, the organizer confirms the trip by means of a booking confirmation once the minimum number of participants has been reached or issues a cancellation if the minimum number of participants is not reached. If the tour group is already full at the time of booking, Romeis-Reisen will inform the traveler that they can be placed on the waiting list.
2. payment
Upon booking, a deposit of one third of the tour price is due upon request. A second installment amounting to one third of the tour price is to be paid upon request after receipt of the booking confirmation. The remaining amount is due 4 weeks before departure. The organizer can also demand payment of the 2nd instalment and/or the remaining amount in cash on the day of departure in Germany or in the destination country (in euros).
3. benefits
The services are set out in the travel description, the booking and the booking confirmation. Changes or deviations of individual travel services from the agreed content of the travel contract are permitted, provided that the changes or deviations are not significant and do not affect the overall design of the booked trip.
4. virtual pre-meeting
Romeis-Reisen usually offers travelers who have booked at least three months before the trip the opportunity to participate in a virtual pre-meeting. At this virtual pre-meeting, the traveler has the opportunity to get to know other fellow travelers and to get a deeper impression of the upcoming trip by means of photo reports on previous trips. Romeis-Reisen recommends taking part in the virtual pre-meeting.
5. withdrawal, rebooking or termination by the customer, substitute person
The customer may withdraw from the travel contract at any time before the start of the trip. Cancellation is deemed to be the same as if a travel participant does not start the trip without giving notice. Cancellation fees are also payable if a travel participant does not arrive at the destination airport at the agreed time on the first day of travel.
The organizer may claim the following costs:
If someone withdraws and a reasonable replacement person steps in, a lump sum of €50 will be charged for expenses.
If someone withdraws and there is no replacement person or if someone does not take part in the trip without withdrawing, the following cancellation costs will be charged as a percentage of the total tour price:
up to the 32nd day before the 1st day of travel 25%,
up to the 16th day before the 1st day of travel 50%,
75% up to the 3rd day before the 1st day of travel,
from the 2nd day before the 1st day of travel the full travel price.
6. Cancellation or termination by the organizer, minimum number of participants
The organizer may withdraw from the contract before the start of the trip in the following cases:
- if the organizer becomes aware of important reasons relating to the person of the traveler before the start of the trip which give rise to fears of lasting disruption to the trip,
- if the travel companion is unable to make the trip for serious reasons, in particular due to illness or accident. In such cases, the organizer will make every effort to find a replacement tour guide. If this is not possible, the organizer may cancel the trip.
In such cases, the traveler will be reimbursed the full travel price. There are no further claims.
7. termination of the contract due to exceptional circumstances
If the trip is made considerably more difficult, endangered or impaired due to serious reasons not foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded or due to force majeure, the tour operator may terminate the contract. After termination, the tour operator shall refund the paid travel price, but may demand reasonable compensation for the travel services already provided or still to be provided until the end of the trip. The traveler must bear the additional costs of any necessary measures.
8. limitation of liability
Romeis-Reisen and its subcontractors are only liable in cases of gross negligence or intent.
9. exclusion of assignment
The assignment of claims against the organizer is excluded without the organizer's express consent.
10. insurances
The organizer recommends the customer to check whether his health insurance is valid in the country of travel and includes a repatriation service. The conclusion of travel health insurance with cover for repatriation costs and the conclusion of travel cancellation insurance are recommended.
11. assertion of claims
The traveler must assert contractual claims against the tour operator due to non-contractual provision of the tour within one month of the end of the tour according to the contract.
12. passport, visa, customs, foreign exchange and health regulations
Travelers should inform themselves about infection and vaccination protection as well as other prophylactic measures in good time and, if necessary, seek medical advice about thrombosis and other health risks.
The current global coronavirus protection measures are always subject to change in the respective countries. The traveler should always inform themselves about the conditions in the destination country, as well as entry regulations for the return journey to their home country. Any negative Covid tests required for entry and exit must be provided and organized by the traveller at their own expense.

According to current regulations, travelers with an EU passport that is valid for at least 6 months can obtain an entry visa at the airport in their destination country.
13. place of jurisdiction
The traveler may only sue Romeis-Reisen at its registered office in Nuremberg. The place of residence of the traveler is decisive for legal action against the traveler.
14. data protection
All data collected which the travel participant has forwarded to romeis-reisen as part of his travel booking will be used exclusively for the support of the customer and for travel processing.
15. conditions in the destination country
Traveling to other countries is sometimes associated with dangers that do not exist at home. Technical facilities and supplies abroad do not always meet German standards.
The organizer would like to point out that on these camel trekking trips, luggage is not handled with care when being loaded onto motor vehicles and camels. Therefore, sturdy pieces of luggage should be used, e.g. a duffel bag or an old travel bag, the damage of which can be accepted. Hard-shell suitcases are unsuitable.
It is also expressly pointed out that on these camel trekking tours we usually move away from civilization - namely in the desert, sometimes several days' journey away from roads or settlements. Cell phone reception is only possible in a few places.
16. health requirements
Participants must be mentally, emotionally and physically fit for such a trip. There are daily stages of 2-3 hours riding or walking in the morning and afternoon. Surefootedness is required. Sleeping outdoors, the silence and darkness of the night, indeed the whole journey can lead to spiritual changes.
17. severability clause
The ineffectiveness of individual provisions of the travel conditions does not result in the ineffectiveness of the entire travel contract.
